Kenzie Beecroft set to make step to Formula Renault UK
Apex Motorsport Marketing will be assisting Kenzie Beecroft, a successful UK kart racer, in his bid to race in the 2009 Formula Renault UK championship. Kenzie, 17, from London, approached Apex earlier in 2008 for marketing support following his recent and impressive string of UK karting and race car results.
Kenzie competed in the Junior Rotax Max category in karting and has since developed his racing experience at club level Formula Ford and Global GT light sport cars, earning praise from a number of professional race teams on his way to obtaining his MSA national ‘A' race licence. In addition to his racing this year, Kenzie has also completed six test days with UK Formula Renault outfit, Falcon Motorsport. The team was impressed with Kenzie's ability to learn quickly and to develop his driving style to suit set up changes.
Apex recently assisted Kenzie in making introductions to other Formula Renault teams in the UK, thus enabling the young driver to focus on achieving success in his preferred category for 2009. Apex are confident Kenzie can achieve his long term goals via Formula Renault next year and will be actively promoting the youngster to obtain a suitable race budget for 2009.
Kenzie's father, Anthony, said "we are grateful for Apex's input. Having access to their motorsport contacts and advice has certainly helped us get a feel for Formula Renault and we now understand exactly what is involved when talking to major teams. We are now focused on raising a budget for Kenzie and hopeful that we will begin testing soon".
